With the upcoming Broadway revival of Annie, Channel Thirteen has launched an†Annie†educational websitethat gives kids a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to make a Broadway show, and informs about the Depression and NYC in the 1930s through interactives, quizzes and games.

Some features have yet to be completed, but among the ones already online:

  • A Trip Through Old New York lets you view historic photos of 1930s New York City along with contemporary images
  • Leapiní Lizards tests your knowledge of events and expressions of the 1930s.
  • Who Said That? tests your knowledge of the musical
  • A New Deal for Dinner features recipes from the Great Depression that you can download.
  • Audio presentations feature†information on the history of radio, the Great Depression, and life in NYC in the 1930s.

  • Video interviews profile members of the production team, giving insights into the careers of choreographer, producer and set designer.
