Looking to introduce the kids to finance basics, or have your older children brush up on their financial know-how? Try Northwestern Mutual Foundation's financial literacy website, the Mint. It has activities and lesson plans for children and information parents can use too.
For the youngest kids, topics include such basics as how banks work, and the difference between cash and credit. For the tweens and teens, there are more sophisticated financial lessons, such as decoding your paycheck, how savings accounts and compound interest works, and the basics of investing.
